Flying On Eagles
Here I imagined a clan of primitive forest people that have tamed a species of giant eagles for their use. Mounted on the giant birds they soar across the skies and over the mountains and valleys of the Pacific Northwest wilderness.
The eagle was an important part of Native American culture in many tribes and they were protected and honored. Because eagles are considered such a powerful medicine animal, the hunting or killing of eagles was restricted by many taboos. Eagles figure prominently in the mythology of nearly every Native American tribe. In most Native cultures, eagles are considered medicine birds with impressive magical powers, and also play a major role in religious ceremonies.
