The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I love city night scenes and I have since I was very young. I did many watercolor paintings of the subject, but I never could quite achieve the effects I wanted. Acrylics are the perfect media for this subject and I intend to create many more semi-abstract paintings of the city lights glittering like stars in the sky.
