Artist's Description

Since 1907 Times square ball drop has played a prominent roll in celebrating and counting down the seconds to each New Year. The Times Square ball drop is one of the best-known New Year's celebrations internationally. It is attended by at least 1 million spectators yearly and enjoys a national television audience across New Year's Eve specials on several networks. The conclusion of the drop is followed by fireworks shot from the roof of One Times Square, along with the playing of "Auld Lang Syne" and Frank Sinatra's "Theme from New York, New York". Around a billion people worldwide watch this event on television and over the Internet. I was one of them.
