Deep Sea Monster
The Norwegian legend of the Kraken comes to life as a deep sea cephalopod rises from below and wraps it's tentacles around a sailing ship. It could have been a giant squid that formed the basis for the tales of an enormous mythical sea monster off the coast of Norway. Giant squids have been known to attack whales and pull them beneath the surface, a 60 ft wooden ship might easily be mistaken for a whale. I was also inspired by the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
