Harvest Gold The serenity of wide open spaces and the billowing clouds invoke feelings of peace and harmony. The fence added a vertical element to help offset the strong horizontal planes of the landscape and the soaring birds offer the feeling of total freedom. I used metallic gold pigment in the fields, something I never tried before and I thought it worked out well for this contemporary landscape. When the light hits the paint it looks like gold leaf.
