Description
Gesu Church and Marquette Hall
A crisp autumn night descends and the lights reflect and shimmer on the wet pavement as the traffic passes along Wisconsin Avenue.
Just blocks from downtown Milwaukee is Marquette University campus and Gesu Church. The cornerstone was laid on May 23, 1893 and the church is on the National Register of Historic Places. Drawing inspiration from the Cathedral of Chartres in France, the French Gothic building features landmark spires of unequal height and stained glass windows.
