This painting was inspired by the cover art of Ideals Magazine, a publication that was always on display in our home over the holiday season. Ideals Magazine was published in Wisconsin in the 50's and I daydreamed that someday I would be hired as an artist for the company. It was a sentimental and nostalgic magazine with beautiful artwork, photography and poetry, old fashioned and corny but I loved it.
