Holiday shoppers brave the elements to shop for their holiday gifts at Macy’s (formerly Marshall Fields) beneath the historic Great Clock.
The Great Clock was installed on Marshall Field's State Street Store in Chicago, Illinois on November 26, 1897. Today the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located along State Street, Chicago's main street that runs through the very heart of the city. Officially renamed Macy’s on State Street September 9, 2006.
