A Scottish Snowfall
This painting was inspired by my recent trip to Scotland and is loosely based on a picture of Edinburgh I snapped with my cell phone. I used the reference for the main building and added and subtracted here and there. The falling snow was added to give this painting a holiday feel. The snow was completely from imagination since I was there in October and nary a flake was in sight. My artistic license allows me to do anything I want on the canvas and I hope it never gets revoked. The couple on the corner sharing a kiss in the snow is the main point of the story. You know, I am a romantic at heart.
